Product Highlights

This is a semi-soft, washed rind cheese is made from Channel Island cow’s milk and is washed with Soundwave from Siren Craft Brewery whose brewery is situated just 6 miles from their dairy.

This west coast IPA helps to promote a tangy, punchy flavour in the cheese while still keeping to the brie code of having a buttery texture.

In a nutshell, Maida Vale is pungent, full of flavour but soft, buttery and creamy. A fully-fledged British cheese at its finest.

Flavour Profile: Salty, creamy, buttery, all the soft cheese classics! When had with the rind it gives a slightly more crunchy and funky flavour which we just love!

Drink Pairing: A cheese suburb for IPA beer! Try Pale Aura by Bad Co and let the fruity flavours enhance the cheese

About the Maker: Maida Vale is made by Village Maid Cheese. They were started by Anne Wigmore in 1986 after she had been working for the National Institute for Research in Dairying in Shinfield for 10 years, initially in the microbiological department, and then learning her craft of cheese-making in their research dairy. Today, Anne, her husband, their family and staff are still working to make award-winning artisan cheeses

How to Enjoy: A great melting cheese – put it on a burger or try in mac n cheese for a robust flavour explosion
