Flavour Profile
Creamy and soft, this mellow blue cheese is mainly savoury with hints of rich spice. It’s quite mild overall, but its flavours are deep and almost meaty, each bite melting in your mouth.
Drink pairing
Port is the perfect partner for a blue cheese like Beauvale. We recommend one from The Bergqvist Family estate: Quinta de la Rosa LBV Port. Its late bottled vintage status gives it a long finish that pairs brilliantly with the richness of this cheese.
About the producer
Beauvale is produced here in England by Cropwell Bishop Creamery Ltd. in Nottingham. It’s matured for seven weeks, and turned in the creamery’s own cellars, to give the cheese its careful balance of blue moulds and creamy texture.
How to enjoy
This brilliant blue is excellent on your cheeseboard after dinner (we love it as an alternative to Stilton). Pour a glass of port and savour the indulgent, creamy tastes with a slice of Beauvale on top of a cracker or slightly melting inside a crusty bread roll.
