Drinks Pairing: We love this with a red! Particularly, New Hall Barons Red!

About the Maker: Camphill Village Trust are based in Yorkshire and support people with learning and other disabilities. Alastair, a local lad who worked at Botton, travelled to Germany to learn his cheese-making trade. Using the Dairy Shorthorn’s rich, yellow milk Alastair makes a traditional clothbound Cheddar. Andy Swinscoe met Alastair by chance on a cheese-making course several years ago, when Alastair was trying to perfect Dale End Cheddar. Botton Creamery also make the, Summer Field Alpine-stlye, Moorland Tomme and Yorkshire Gouda.

How to Enjoy: Cheddar can be enjoyed in so many ways, that’s what makes it great! Enjoy it on it’s own, in a sarnie, or use it in cooking!

First Experience!

First experience of Love Cheese and the cheeses didn't disappoint. Great variety, it was a present from my daughter, so we were able to take out time read all about the different cheese and order. Without exception everyone we chose was lush

An ideal present.

I bought a selection of Yorkshire cheeses and a jar of chutney for a friends' birthday, and it was an ideal present.
The charcoal cheese was especially well received and relished and the Botton cheese was said to have a pleasant tang. The Swaledale and Wenslydale were
equally good. Altogether a happy cheesy birthday. It would be an idea to put some kind of leaflet in that gave information about each cheese purchased.

Very hard!

Great flavour but so hard that within a couple of days it was difficult to cut.

Like space dust on your tongue!!

I quite literally NEVER write reviews - about anything let alone a cheese! But this cheese just has to be tasted to be believed. It is so rich in flavour, creamy yet tangy - but its a cheddar I hear you say!!??

It almost fizzes on your tongue and is very, very moreish.

Be warned!

It is simply the best cheese I have ever tasted bar none.
