Flavour Profile/Aroma
You’ll find notes of red berries, green apples and wild flowers, alongside some subtle spices. The wine’s acidity and juicy berry flavours create a fresh and summery classic.
Recommended food pairings
This dry rosé is ready to enjoy now, and best with light starters or sides, like cheeses, melon and prosciutto. We’d recommend pairing with Carboncino, so the juicy berries of the wine can balance the soft, mixed milky texture of the cheese.
Growing Conditions
2018 Bardolino Chiaretto is made from the Corvina grape, grown on the Veneto shore of Lake Garda and the hills of Valpolicella. The grape can be challenging, as it ripens late and risks rotting from rains at harvest. Yet if yields are low, quality is high, and the finished wine is classic with berry notes.
Winemaking notes
Harvesting the Corvina grape at the right time and using modern methods keeps this wine fresh and fragrant. The winery uses temperature-controlled fermentation and storage methods, and the result is clean, pure and well-balanced wines with a fruity aroma.
