This cheese is the work of the Doddington dairy, producing hand crafted cheeses in Northumberland. Berwick edge, named after the local ridge, forming the eastern edge of the Glendale Valley, is a cheese for those who appreciate strong flavours. Family members are involved in the whole cheese making process; from feeding the cows to packaging the products. Owners Neill and Jackie Maxwell believe that this personal commitment gives the finest quality product. Made using milk from their own cows it captures a range of flavours, most notably a deep sweetness with a lingering tang.
