Food Pairing: Like most reds, Bobel deSanjuan goes wonderfully with meaty dishes like lasagne or bolognese. Slap a burger on the BBQ and you’ve got yourself the ultimate summer wine combo.
About the Winemaker: “Arnoldo and Marta Valsangiacomo are the 5th generation of a family of Swiss origin that has been making wines since 1831. The saga had to continue with them. But, they were both clear that this did not mean repeating what your parents and grandparents did. Or at least not only. Marta and Arnoldo continue working at home in Valencia. But 12 years ago they undertook with the vine growers of the village of San Juan, in the heart of Utiel Requena, a work to recover old vines of great value to produce original wines with a clear DNA: Bobal and Utiel-Requena.”
