Tasting Notes: An indulgent wine with intense and layered aromas of orange rind, apricot and honey. The vibrant palate delights with notes of orange, grapefruit, butterscotch and biscotti which carry through to a beautifully balanced and persistent finish.
Winemaking Notes: Semillon, 11.5% ABV, frm Barossa Valley, South Australia.
Food Pairings: This is a great one for blue cheese. The sweetness offsets the saltiness of the blue cheese in such a way it is sublime.
About the Winemaker: “Berton Vineyards was established in 1996 by Bob and Cherie Berton. In 2005 when the former Southcorp winery in Yenda became available, Bob and Cherie joined with Jamie Bennett, Paul Bartholomaeus and James Ceccato to form Berton Vineyards the company. The winery was purchased and they moved to their new home in November 2005.”
