About the Winemaker: La Guardiense is a cooperative located in Campania, a land of hills and plains naturally protected from excessive heat and cold by the Matese mountains. Founded in the 1960s, it counts today about 1000 farmer members who mainly grow indigenous grape varieties. Under the eye of well-respected Italian winemaker Riccardo Cotarella, who was referred as one of the most influential people in the wine world by Robert Parker in 2011, a sustainable approach with minimal intervention has been adopted in the winery in order to create wines that are true to their grape varieties and terroir
