Tasting Notes: A 5 years old wine, bold, opaque, woody but not incredibly oaky, still has proponent fruity flavours. The palette is both full and soft. The taste certainly does not disappoint, with some red wines having a “leather” taste, it is nice and fruity and reminiscent of blackberries and cherries, with a hint of vanilla. And as it described ‘toasted’ it gives a warm feeling in the mouth.
Food Pairing: Like most red wines, this one is very tasty with hard cheeses (think of old Gouda, or a piece of Manchego) and other snacks, but certainly also with roasted meat, stews, a tasty stew, and don’t forget the chocolate.
