5 cheeses from the great county of Yorkshire. You’ll be getting Ribblesdale Mature, Yorkshire Pecorino, Yoredale (Old Roan), Summerfields and Devil’s Rock Blue.
Let’s talk about the cheeses:
Ribblesdale Mature Goat is a cheese that will demand second helpings – and with good reason! Its sweet and grassy aroma combined with a superb crumbly texture giving a perfect combination.
From there, we have the wonderful Yorkshire Pecorino. Although from Yorkshire, the cheesemaker is initially from Italy meaning this cheese is a beautiful concoction of 2 fantastic cheese heritages. Like all classic Italian young cheeses, it is smooth, yoghurty and sweet!
Up next, Yoredale (Old Roan)! Being Yorkshire and all, we love a good Wensleydale cheese! Made using raw milk to a slow traditional recipe, resulting in a cheese that is smooth and creamy in texture.
Your penultimate cheese in this selection is Summerfields. This is a hard cheese that has sublime flavours of saltiness. It’s a crunchy, nutty and tangy cheese that will dance on the taste buds.
Finally we have the smashing Devil’s Rock Blue. As far as our Blue Cheese goes, this is up there with a flavour just shy of our strongest blue – Hebridean. This is a minerally flavour that is extra dense, extra salty and extra acidic with a little bit of a metallic undertone.
